Hydrogen Poland

Hydrogen Poland is a grassroots organization of entrepreneurs in the hydrogen economy sector, built on a strong foundation of expertise. Its primary mission is to represent the interests of Polish businesses both domestically and internationally.

The association offers a comprehensive range of advisory and training services, supports investment processes in the field of hydrogen technologies, and fosters sectoral synergies to enhance project efficiency. It also plays a key role in the legislative process, providing end-to-end support: from public affairs activities to drafting and reviewing legal acts related to the implementation of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.

Co-founder & President

Tomoho Umeda

The founder of Hynfra and Hynfra Energy Storage. A entrepreneur and strategic advisor, promoter of hydrogen technologies and large-scale renewable energy solutions. He is committed to accelerating market and technological progress towards climate neutrality. Chairman of the Hydrogen Technologies Committee of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, member of Hydrogen Europe and European Clean Hydrogen Alliance. He is a member of the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce for Energy and Environmental Protection (IGEOŚ) and also a member of the Honorary Council of the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Technologies Center at Wrocław University of Technology. Lecturer at the Rzeszów University of Technology on the subject "Hydrogen technologies".

Co-founder & Vice-president

Paweł Piotrowicz

An expert and speaker at international conferences, specializing in the technological, regulatory, and safety aspects of hydrogen technologies. He keeps strong global relationships with battery and hydrogen technology manufacturers to support Polish and European projects. He is an energy market and hydrogen technology expert at TÜV SÜD, Vice-Chairman of the Electromobility Committee of the National Chamber of Commerce, and the PSPA Committee on Hydrogen Technologies in Transport, as well as a member of Hydrogen Europe’s working groups.

Katarzyna Cupryś

Since 2003, she has been involved with EU funds, specializing in research and investment projects related to renewable energy. Her work has contributed to the success of several hundred projects that have received grants totaling over PLN 380 million (€84 million).

Alex Naumann

Vice Chairman of the Hydrogen Technology Committee at the Polish Chamber of Commerce. An active participant in the working groups for the development of the hydrogen economy at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, and involved in the development of the Polish Hydrogen Strategy and the Sectoral Agreement for the advancement of the hydrogen economy.

Żaneta Kłostowska

Author of international scientific publications, multiple scholarship holder. Expert in the Green Skills for Hydrogen, HyPOP, H2Global and H2Excellence international projects. Initiator of the country’s first Offshore2Hydrogen Intersectoral Working Group, developing regulatory frameworks for green hydrogen from offshore wind. Specialist in water and wastewater technologies for hydrogen production.

Katarzyna Czmuda holds the position of Corporate Affairs Manager at Hynfra P.S.A.. A graduate of Law at the Private School of Business and Administration in Warsaw, Katarzyna has a broad knowledge of law and administration, which allows her to effectively manage corporate relations and support the strategic goals of the company.

Legal advisor, partner of Polowiec and Partners, a law firm recommended in the field of Energy and Natural Resources. Co-founder of the Enim Institute, lecturer at the JSC, mentor of the Women in Law Foundation and a member of the Association of Energy Law Lawyers. Expert in the field of energy and fuels, energy-intensive industry and low-carbon transition and low-carbon transition.
